Connect University Terms of Service

Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 1st, 2026

Welcome to Connect University! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy explain the rules for using our Instagram-based service, where incoming college freshmen can share posts about themselves and connect with new friends or potential roommates through a subscription system. By subscribing or using Connect University, you accept these Terms and confirm that you understand our data practices.

Terms of Service

1. Who Can Use Connect University

You must be 18 or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian.

The Service is designed for incoming college freshmen or people legitimately looking to connect with them for friendship or roommate matching.

2. Subscription & Billing

Connect University operates on a monthly subscription. While your subscription is active, you may submit as many posts as you’d like. You may also contact us to edit your post bio, remove any pictures in your post, etc. You can also be reposted on our story as many times as you’d like under the subscription.

If you wish to unsubscribe, we have the right to remove your post without your permission, as Instagram only allows our pages to have a certain amount of posts.

Payments are securely handled by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method you provide.

All subscription fees are final and non-refundable unless local law requires otherwise.

You may cancel anytime through: https://billing.stripe.com/p/login/bJe14g86K4Uya0h5gw7kc00 but cancellation won’t refund the current month.

We may update subscription pricing in the future and will notify you ahead of your next billing cycle if changes occur.

3. Content You Submit

You may provide photos, text, and similar materials for us to post on our Instagram pages.

By submitting content, you allow us to display and share it as part of the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring your content does not:

Break laws or contain hateful, offensive, or harmful material

Violate copyrights, privacy rights, or any other rights

Include intentionally false or misleading information

We may refuse, edit, or remove content at our discretion if it doesn’t meet our guidelines.

4. Expected Behavior

Treat all users respectfully. No bullying, harassment, scams, or harmful behavior.

Don’t pretend to be someone else or mislead others about who you are.

Don’t use Connect University to promote unrelated businesses or products without our permission.

5. Ending the Service

You may cancel or stop using the Service whenever you choose.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason we find necessary.

6. No Guarantees

The Service is provided “as is.”

We cannot guarantee that Instagram will always be available or that the Service will always run without issues.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Connect University is not responsible for indirect or unexpected damages related to your use of the Service.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. If significant updates are made, we will notify you (for example, via email or an Instagram announcement).

Continuing to use the Service means you accept the new Terms.

9. Billing Disputes & Chargebacks

By purchasing a subscription to Connect University, you expressly authorize recurring billing through Stripe using the payment method you provide and agree to these Terms at the time of purchase.

Connect University provides a digital promotional and publishing service delivered through Instagram-based content posting and account exposure. You acknowledge that digital services begin immediately upon activation of your subscription.

Service fulfillment occurs when any of the following actions take place:

  • Your post is published on a Connect University Instagram page;

  • Your content is scheduled, prepared, or approved for posting;

  • Your post remains active or available under an active subscription;

  • Story reposts, edits, or promotional exposure are provided during the subscription period.

Because digital services are delivered upon publication or availability and cannot be returned or reversed:

  • All subscription payments are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

  • Failure to cancel a subscription prior to the next billing cycle does not invalidate authorized charges.

  • A self-service cancellation portal is provided, allowing subscribers to stop future billing at any time.

If a payment dispute or chargeback is initiated for services already delivered or made available, Connect University reserves the right to formally contest the dispute by submitting evidence including, but not limited to:

  • Proof of customer authorization and subscription enrollment;

  • Acceptance of these Terms at checkout;

  • Billing records and payment confirmation from Stripe;

  • Posting records, timestamps, and evidence of published or scheduled content;

  • Account activity demonstrating service availability during the subscription period;

  • Confirmation that cancellation access was continuously available to the subscriber.

Accounts associated with payment disputes or chargebacks may be suspended or permanently terminated at our discretion during or after the review process.

Initiating a chargeback does not cancel an active subscription and does not remove responsibility for valid charges incurred prior to cancellation.

If you dispute any charges that occurred before you went into our user based customer portal and cancelled your subscription yourself, we will challenge your dispute and you will most likely lose. If for any reason you are struggling to cancel your subscription from our customer portal, reach out to us and we will help guide you through it, however note that it might take us time to get back to you before your next billing cycle occurs.

10. Billing Dispute Notice

If you initiate a payment dispute or chargeback for charges incurred prior to canceling your subscription through the customer billing portal, Connect University reserves the right to formally challenge the dispute by providing evidence of subscription authorization, service fulfillment, and continued access to cancellation tools.

Subscribers are responsible for canceling their subscription directly through the customer portal to prevent future billing. Cancellation becomes effective once completed within the portal.

If you experience technical difficulty accessing or completing cancellation, you may request guidance from us; however, response times are not guaranteed, and billing may continue until the cancellation process is successfully completed before the next billing date.
